- PROFESSION: Show Jumper
Sam started riding at age 8, going through the levels of pony club and ribbon day competitions. By 12 she started getting serious about show jumping and was competing successfully on the Pony Grand Prix circuit with special pony Glenwood Cambrian. 2009 Sam won 1.20m Pony of the year and also 2nd Speed Pony of the year with Glenwood Cambrian as well as securing a spot on the 2010 under 16 NZ team to compete in South Africa. At 16 she worked a yearling prep with Cambridge stud to pay for her show jumping and from there moved onto riding track work and breakers at a local stable. It was with the race horses she met Jeremy and soon began working along side him at Diamond Lodge. Sam is still heavily involved with show jumping running a seperate side to the business called Diamond Lodge Sport Horses and owns a small team of warmblood mares which she is hoping to grow into a successful competition and breeding system. Sam has been using Cortaflex products for a number of years and loves them so much that she now does part time work for the company!
